Reports from the Field

[Extracts from the Annual Report of the Christian Science Joint Institutional Committee, Chicago]

We have reports of the gratitude felt by the inmates of the various institutions, and those who are no longer inmates of these institutions because they have experienced to a fuller degree the healing power of Christian Science.

The healings which have taken place at Oak Forest in the past year gladden the hearts of the Christian Scientists, comprising, as they do, the healing of cataract when an operation was immediately pending, the healing of cancer after such a case had been sent to Oak Forest from the County Hospital, the healing of several cases of tuberculosis, of paralysis, and many other diseases, which have been recounted to the churches in the special report of the Investigating Committee, and by its representative in two meetings in the interest of institutional work, given to the church members through the courteous invitations of Second and Sixteenth churches of Chicago. The attitude of the officials toward Christian Science is kindly.
