Lecturer: Rev. Irving C. Tomlinson; introduced by Miss Eleanor Beatrice Hawkins, who said:—

As a child I loved to ponder Jesus' healing words and works, but I could never understand why such power to heal was given only to him and his immediate disciples. It did not seem to me consistent that God, who is Love, could limit His bestowals in any way. Later, when in my teens and in a very sick and unhappy state of mind, the problem was solved, for a friend told me of Christian Science and its universal healing power. I had not the slightest difficulty in recognizing this as "the Comforter which leadeth into all truth," as Mrs. Eddy states on page 127 of Science and Health.
