Hidden Treasure
[Written Especially for Children]
Many little boys and girls have enjoyed playing the game of hidden treasure. They follow signs that tell them where the treasure may be. Sometimes the boys or girls follow the wrong signs and are led astray.
The popular way of playing this treasure game, with a certain group of children, was to have a treasure chest hidden in some difficult place. When a player found it, he learned that it was locked, and a note placed thereon told him that in such and such a place he would find a key which would open the treasure chest. Then, of course, there would be a scampering off to find the key, and it was the one who found this key who received the treasure. For, after all, the treasure box would be of little use until it was opened.
Boys and girls who attend the Christian Science Sunday School have a great opportunity to find hidden treasure. The Bible is full of treasure—treasure that heals sickness and sin, opens the blind eyes, and causes the deaf to hear. And in many, many places in the Bible some verse tells about this beautiful treasure ready for our use.
