Over twenty years ago I became interested in Christian Science, not because of any thought that healing was needed, but rather because of the hope that God might be explained in an understandable and acceptable way. Since that introduction to Christian Science I have learned something of the truth about God and man's relationship to Him, and I have experienced many healings, for which words are inadequate to express my gratitude.

Twenty years ago I was healed of the liquor habit through reading the Bible and Science and Health. About one year later I was healed of what several doctors pronounced gout, also through reading these books. Since that time I have, with the aid of a practitioner, been instantaneously healed of the smoking habit of long standing. I was also healed of ptomaine poisoning in a few hours. Many other healings have been experienced, including one of blood poisoning in one hand; and the protection that Christian Science has afforded through the years has been a source of continual joy and gratitude.

I am deeply grateful for the blessings that have been experienced in my home, for Christian Science has truly installed therein love and harmony. Church activities open the way to infinite blessings; the literature published by The Christian Science Publishing Society in Boston is a cause for increasing gratitude. I am profoundly grateful for the understanding I have of this infinite subject, and to our beloved Leader, whose tireless work has made all this possible.—Chas. G. Johnston, Brooklyn, New York.
