I shall be glad if you will allow me space to correct a brief but important reference to Christian Science contained in the last paragraph of a letter appearing in your issue of Thursday. It is impossible for a Christian Scientist to employ any form of suggestion as a medium of prayer, because Christian Science teaches that God is the only I or Ego, the only Mind. Healing in Christian Science is the result of knowing the Scriptural truth about God, and man made in His image and likeness, which Christian Science has made possible for all to understand.

In the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," Mrs. Eddy begins the chapter on Prayer with these inspired and helpful words (p. 1): "The prayer that reforms the sinner and heals the sick is an absolute faith that all things are possible to God,—a spiritual understanding of Him, an unselfed love." And in the Christian Science Quarterly, where Bible Lessons are given for study during each week, will be found a Lesson-Sermon entitled "Ancient and Modern Necromancy, alias Mesmerism and Hypnotism, Denounced." These Lessons are taken from the Bible and the Christian Science textbook, and the teaching on this subject, exposing these methods, is made very clear.
