Jewish Hope

While there are many differences between the religious teachings you advocate and those presented in the writings of Mary Baker Eddy, you and I doubtless agree that Hebrew Christian and Christian Scientists are of one mind in their desire to be just and fair to all mankind and to observe the Golden Rule.

However, various contributions to your magazine have not stated correctly the teachings of Christian Science. Therefore, in order that you may have accurate information about this religion I quote two passages from "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, relating to teachings of Christian Science that your contributors have discussed:

"God is incorporeal, divine, supreme, infinite Mind, Spirit, Soul, Principle, Life, Truth, Love" (p. 465). "The prayer that reforms the sinner and heals the sick is an absolute faith that all things are possible to God,—a spiritual understanding of Him, an unselfed love" (p. 1).
