The Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures"...

Pantagraph

The Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, first published in 1875 and later revised by its author, with numerous copyrights, renewed and extended, is probably the most widely read book—the Bible excepted—in the world today.

Being such a well-known and much-loved volume, it is regrettable that the plate cartoon in your issue of March 18 contained the heading "Science and Health with Key to the Crime Wave." Careful inspection of this cartoon fails to show any reason for such an absurd title.

Christian Science furnishes a key to the healing of crime or any other wave of discord which may seem to afflict mankind. Its beneficent ministrations bring "the effect of righteousness," which is "quietness and assurance for ever," to grateful multitudes. Surely this boon to a waiting world deserves the respect it has so graciously earned.
