When Christian Science was first presented to me I was very much opposed to it, since I had heard so much argument against it and very little in its favor. After having positive proof of its healing power, however, I began an honest investigation, and to my surprise and joy found it to be indeed the "pearl of great price."

At this time I was not in need of physical healing, and life as a whole was quite satisfactory, but the time came when I had to prove for myself the healing efficacy of this teaching. I was healed of sorrow at the passing on of a brother with tuberculosis. At that time this disease seemed to be fastening its claims on me. This fear was quickly overcome by the help of my husband, who had been studying Christian Science for some time. Since that time we have experienced many healings in our home, and I am indeed grateful for the help of Christian Science in bringing up our two children.

Our youngest son has been blessed with many healings. He passed through the teething period with little discomfort. He was healed of a broken bone in less than two weeks, also of double pneumonia and whooping cough, all before he was one year old. After that came healings of measles, mumps, chicken pox, colds, tonsillitis, and many other discordant conditions, including ivy poisoning.
