Lecturer: Frank Bell; introduced by William G. Howells, who said:—

The declaration of the Psalmist, "Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path," points the way today as certainly as it did centuries ago. Perhaps as never before, humanity is grouping in the darkness of material thought and reaching out for the light of spiritual understanding, for an understanding of God and His teachings which will lead to freedom from the many phases of human bondage. As the result of the discovery of Christian Science by Mary Baker Eddy, many people all over the would are rejoicing in the assurance that they have found the true interpretation of God's Word; true, because it is actually healing them of all manner of sickness and sin, and solving every problem to which it is properly applied.
