During the many years of my study of Christian Science...
During the many years of my study of Christian Science I have been healed of colds, badly sprained foot and ankle, and severe intestinal disorders. Some of the healings have been slow; however, tonsillitis yielded almost instantaneously, and this experience has been a comforting remembrance when results have been delayed.
I have proved to some extent what our Leader has stated in Science and Health (p. 399), "Nerves are unable to talk, and matter can return no answer to immortal Mind;" for when I have been suffering seemingly unbearable pain, peace has been restored and healing has been realized. I am most grateful for the power that may be utilized by the student of Christian Science in overcoming the erroneous thoughts that argue for sin, sickness, death, and lack. The Christian Science Monitor is a daily protection when so much current reading matter is enlarging upon the suffering and hardship everywhere in evidence.
I am happy that I may have more and more understanding of the truth of being, as I apply myself to the study of the Bible, the Christian Science textbook and other writings by Mary Baker Eddy; they are indeed a refuge from the storm of material thinking. I am grateful for the loving service of practitioners; grateful to our Leader for the purity, faith, and steadfast loyalty to the revelation that is Christian Science—"the law of God, the law of good, interpreting and demonstrating the divine Principle and rule of universal harmony" (Rudimental Divine Science, p. 1). Among my blessings I count the privilege of being a member of The Mother Church and of a branch church; also of having class instruction.
