I am sincerely grateful for Christian Science, and for...
I am sincerely grateful for Christian Science, and for the many blessings it has brought into our lives. It has been our only physician for many years. Our two children have never known of anything but God, Truth, to turn to in times of need. With the understanding gained in the Christian Science Sunday School, for which I am deeply grateful, they have proved many times that the truth is operative and when properly applied heals them of any and all of their woes, at home, at school, or at play. A severe case of black measles was entirely healed in about three days. Colds, sore throat, burns, a broken arm, and many so-called children's diseases have been quickly and permanently healed. We have also proved that Christian Science is preventive as well as curative when epidemics have prevailed about us.
I should also like to express much gratitude for experiencing practically painless childbirth. I have been healed instantaneously of influenza. Severe headaches, colds, and a burn from boiling fat, which completely covered the lower limb, are just a few of the many healings I have experienced, which make me consider it not only a duty but a privilege to add my testimony to this great truth about God and man. It has been proved to me that "with God all things are possible."
During a recent experience, the result of an automobile accident, I awakened to find myself in a hospital. I had first been carried into the home of a physician, who pronounced the injuries of a very serious nature. A number of X-rays were taken, which showed a broken collar bone pressing into the lung and making breathing very difficult; a fracture of six ribs on one side and one on the other; a skull fracture, and many bruises all over the body. Because of the severe shock little hope was held for my recovery.
