While returning home from school one day, I was brushed...
While returning home from school one day, I was brushed from the rear step of a crowded street car. When the conductor saw what had occurred I was put aboard the car and taken to a doctor, since it seemed necessary to relieve the car company of any responsibility. I had previously memorized "the scientific statement of being" as found on page 468 of Science and Health. Holding thought steadfastly to this enabled me to walk home without any sense of pain. Help was requested of an older student of Christian Science, and the following Monday I returned to school, normal.
I have also been healed of measles, cuts, burns, and strained ligaments, sick headaches that confined me to bed for several days, fatigue, and loneliness. All these things have been overcome through the realization of the perfection of man made in the image and likeness of God, good.
I am grateful for class instruction and for the health, happiness, and harmony which have been realized through the study of Christian Science. The lectures have been a channel through which I have gained inspiration, education, and reassurance. I feel that I can best express my gratitude through unlimited service.
