Each day I am more humbly grateful for the blessed...
Each day I am more humbly grateful for the blessed Christ, Truth, revealed to us in this age by our beloved Leader. It was my privilege to attend The Mother Church Sunday School, and I know that the understanding of each child who attands this Sunday school, or one in a branch church, is being founded upon the Rock, Christ; and the understanding of God and the perfect man, gained during these years of unfoldment, will be a staff upon which he or she may lean at all times.
I have had many beautiful experiences of healing, some with the help of practitioners, others through my own understanding of the truth. For the loving, unselfish work of all practitioners I thank our Father-Mother God. When a child I was healed of blindness with two weeks' treatment in Christian Science. I had been wearing glasses previous to losing my sight, but my vision gradually grew more dim until I was unable to see, at which time my mother asked a practitioner for treatment for me. I continued going to church, and on the second Wednesday night after treatment was begun, when I got up to sing the first hymn, I was unable to read the words, but when the First Reader read the words of the last hymn, I found to my joy that I could see perfectly, and have been able to do so ever since.
Another healing I had was of typhoid fever. Frequent sick headaches have been overcome, also attacks of ptomaine poisoning, and colds have been instantaneously overcome. At one time my ears became stopped up so that although by straining I could hear voices and could catch what people were saying by watching their lips, I was unable to hear anything out of one ear and very little out of the other. Christian Science treatment was asked for and in a few weeks all trace of deafness disappeared.
