Lecturer: Robert Stanley Ross; introduced by Gordon V. Comer, who said:—

When John sent two of his disciples to Jesus to ask him if he was the promised Saviour, Jesus told them to return unto John and show him the things that they had heard and seen—the healing of the deaf, of the lame, of the blind; the cleansing of the lepers; the raising of the dead, and the preaching to the poor. Surely the poor were those who recognized their need for spirituality, and to them the gospel or Word of God in its true sense was preached, bringing encouragement, strength, and healing.
