Spiritual Riches

One of the most wonderful of the truths which Christian Science reveals is that the real man is endowed beyond measure with spiritual riches. How can this be? Christian Science reasons very simply on the question, thus: God is Mind, and man is the image of God. Hence, as Mind's image or reflection, man includes all of Mind's ideas; not a single idea is missing in the compound idea, man. As Mrs. Eddy says on page 475 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," "He [man] is the compound idea of God, including all right ideas."

Because this knowledge of man is of great importance to humanity, it is necessary that the student should realize clearly what it means. In striving after this realization he receives no help whatever from material sense, which takes cognizance only of the temporal. He can attain it only through spiritual sense; through the understanding of true being which spiritual sense gives. When, then, spiritual sense declares that as the compound idea of God man includes all right ideas, it overrules entirely the limitations which material sense would impose upon him.

There is, then, no idea, no quality of Mind, which man does not reflect: all spiritual ideas, all spiritual qualities, are his to know and enjoy. When we think of the perfection of
