For the past seven or eight years I have enjoyed the blessings of Christian Science. The understanding of God and of man as His image and likeness which it brings has supplied my every need.
I experienced a healing, through the help of a Christian Science practitioner, which I hope will help and encourage others who are trusting in God for health. I nursed a patient who, according to medical diagnosis, had tuberculosis. Within a few months I developed the fear and symptoms of this trouble. For a week I could speak only in a whisper, and the cough tried to frighten me with the thought of incurability. The practitioner called my attention to an article in the Christian Science Sentinel which helped me to see that if I really believed God to be omnipotent I could not also believe that there is or ever was present with anyone at any time disease, sin, death, lack, or anything unlike God. This larger understanding of the allness of God and the nothingness of any opposite sense completely freed me from the physical trouble.
I am most grateful for this healing, for a better understanding of God and Christ Jesus, for Mrs. Eddy, who has given us "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," and for all other activities of the Christian Science movement.
Enjoy 1 free Sentinel article or audio program each month, including content from 1898 to today.
