Subscribing and Contributing

HOW pleasant it is to be found contributing or subscribing to the world's sweetness, thus helping to neutralize its bitterness! How eagerly the world is looking for those who are willing to help it to see the bright skies instead of the gloomy clouds! What opportunities there are today for each one to do a vast amount of good!

In "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 340) Mrs. Eddy writes, "One infinite God, good, unifies men and nations; constitutes the brotherhood of man; ends wars; fulfils the Scripture, 'Love thy neighbor as thyself;' annihilates pagan and Christian idolatry,—whatever is wrong in social, civil, criminal, political, and religious codes; equalizes the sexes; annuls the curse on man, and leaves nothing that can sin, suffer, be punished or destroyed."

How illuminating it is to realize that every individual can contribute to humanity's advancement toward the goal set out in these words, so that all men may be of one Mind! Today there is no need to wring the hands in despair. Whoever desires to make peace and help to give the world the message it sorely needs, can do so by subscribing to and reading the Christian Science periodicals, including The Christian Science Monitor, which promotes international good will. "Blessed are the peacemakers." Blessed are they who support constructive good news, thus contributing to the peace of the world. Blessed are they who are helping to meet the need of humanity for purer thinking, better health, fuller acquaintance with God, good.
