Like many others I would express my sincere gratitude...

Like many others I would express my sincere gratitude for Christian Science, for what it has done and is doing for the world today. Through the dark night of depression shines the light of Truth, with peace and prosperity in its wake. Christian Science is the only way out of seeming chaos—the only weapon we have with which to fight it successfully; and I am grateful that I can do my part, daily, to help the world.

For over nineteen years Christian Science has been my only physician and has not been found wanting. I have had many healings, both physical and mental—some more outstanding than others, but all proving conclusively that I have found Truth. Before hearing of this wonderful religion I did not know what it was to be well. As a young boy I had all kinds of sicknesses, and some of these were supposed to have left me with a weak heart. I could not play strenuous games or even drill in the school yard without fainting. This condition was quickly overcome through Christian Science, and I was soon running about with the other boys, playing football without any ill effect whatever. I have also been healed of a badly poisoned hand, colds, and other difficulties.

These healings give much cause for gratitude, but I feel more grateful for the different outlook on life which Christian Science gives to one; for a better understanding of the true relationship of God and man; for the realization of the allness of Truth and the consequent nothingness of error. God is our Father-Mother and is always present. As we turn to Him more and more, we find His thoughts revealing themselves to us to help us in every difficulty. I am grateful to God for His tender, loving care and to our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, for standing alone against the world to give us the truth which heals the sick and the sinning. I pray God that I may learn more of this good, so that I can help my brother men on their journey from sense to Soul.
