My heart overflows with gratitude for our revised Christian Science Hymnal, and I am reminded that it is due to this Science that I can sing at all. Like many others, I turned to Christian Science for physical healing, not knowing that it had in store for me the satisfaction of lifelong cravings. I was away at school and afflicted with such a serious throat trouble that not only had I lost my normal range in singing, but my hoarse speaking voice caused even strangers to inquire if I had a severe sore throat. Dreading a specialist's treatment, I asked a Christian Science friend to help me. She did so, and within a very short time the condition was so improved that those about me commented upon the change, particularly upon my ability to sing again. From that time on, for more than twenty-five years now, I have never been similarly deprived of the joy of singing my gratitude.

Many, indeed, have been the occasions for such "songs of deliverance." Notable among the numerous physical benefits has been the healing of susceptibility to constant colds and of severe attacks of rheumatism. In overcoming fear of the weather, I have found the hymn beginning,
