I am very happy to be privileged to add my testimony...

I am very happy to be privileged to add my testimony to the healing and saving power of Truth as taught in Christian Science.

One Saturday in June, our little son seemed very restless, and my husband and I began realizing the perfection and harmony of an idea of God, good. We were quite satisfied, thinking we were rising above the condition, but later, on Sunday evening, it became necessary to ask help of a Christian Science practitioner. About two o'clock on Monday morning, I was awakened by choking sounds and sprang up to lift the little fellow out of his cot. To material sense he seemed to be in a very serious condition, and I asked my husband to telephone again to the practitioenr. When he came back he said the doctor was coming along; and as we were being obedient to the law in calling him in, we were protected accordingly. An examination was made, and bronchitis, croup, and diphtheria were suggested. It was wonderful to learn that the practitioner was already working along these lines.

The child was critically ill the whole of Monday, and a golden thought passed on to me by the practitioner comforted and helped me. "Remember," she said, "he is in the arms of the Father." In the evening pneumonia was suggested, but this was met and destroyed, with the result that the little one, who had been panting for breath, fell into a deep sleep. We were awakened on Tuesday morning by the lovely sounds of baby talk—of a baby who needed food as a healthy baby does. When the doctor came later in the morning he said that there was no temperature and no congestion. In that very short time the child had been healed by Truth of what seemed to material sense to be a serious complication of diseases.
