Your correspondent, "Puzzled," in making some friendly references to Christian Science, states that "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, "if correct, displaces the teachings of the Old Bible." On the contrary, a close study of the Christian Science textbook reveals the spiritual meaning of the Scriptures so clearly that the Bible becomes an increasingly practical help in solving the problems of human existence. One of the Tenets of Christian Science (Science and Health, p. 497) reads as follows: "As adherents of Truth, we take the inspired Word of the Bible as our sufficient guide to eternal Life."
