With a sense of deep gratitude to God I acknowledge the many blessings that have come to our family through Christian Science, with the help of a practitioner and through the study of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy.

My husband suffered for several years from an abscess on his neck. The doctors repeatedly advised him to have an operation, but we knew through Christian Science that an operation was not the best way, and we could not decide to have it. Then one day the abscess pained him so much that we asked a practitioner for help, which was lovingly given. The pain lessened at once, and in a few days the abscess had completely disappeared. More than two years have passed since that time and the healing has proved permanent.

Two years ago our daughter was attacked by violent pain in the region of the appendix. The doctors had told her on an earlier, similar occasion that upon the recurrence of such an attack she should undergo an immediate operation. But instead of consulting the doctor we turned to Christian Science. After the first treatment she felt better, and in a few days she was completely healed without an operation. Since then she has been entirely well; and we rejoice in knowing that God's work is finished. Every scientific solution of a problem leads us higher.
