About twelve years ago Christian Science was first presented to me. At that time I was suffering from asthma and had been under medical treatment continually for two years; but I had failed to receive any relief from material remedies. Knowing of my condition, a student of Christian Science gave me a copy of the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. Through the reading of this book I was healed in less than a week—convincing evidence of the power of Truth to heal, proving the statement of our Leader, on page 449 of the textbook, "A grain of Christian Science does wonders for mortals, so omnipotent is Truth."
