Morgenavisen of the 13th inst. contains a report of a lecture on "Christianity and Modern Formations of Religion." It appears from this that the lecturer is of the opinion that Christian Science is not Christian, which must be due to a lack of knowledge of this religion.

Christian Science is built wholly on the Bible and especially on the teachings of Jesus. Its adherents strive to live in accordance with these teachings and believe that they are also obliged to follow Jesus' command to heal the sick. Christian Science shows that the healings of the primitive Christians were founded on full faith in God and His spiritual law; that they were proofs of the truth of the Christian teaching, and also that its adherents really had comprehended the teaching, "He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also."

Christian Science teaches that sin and sickness have no real or eternal existence, because they do not originate in God, and that proportionately as men fall into line with the law of God, they will be able to exercise the dominion over evil which characterized the first Christians. Paul writes, "The law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death."
