I am very grateful for all the Christian Science literature; the splendid articles and testimonies in the Journal and Sentinel have helped me on many occasions to allay fear and banish discouragement.
During the past fifteen years I have had many healings and blessings, among them class instruction—a privilege for which one cannot be too grateful. Chronic tonsillitis has been destroyed; likewise the desire for alcohol, tobacco, tea, and coffee has been entirely overcome. A healing for which I am very grateful is that of a nervous breakdown. This condition persisted for about seven months. I had the constant help of a practitioner, and was absent from my business for only a few days. The complete healing took place during a Christian Science lecture at which I drank in every word. The lecture was about half over when the speaker made this statement, "Man is God's expression." That stood out so clearly to me that I was instantly healed and I knew it. I have also been healed of a rupture.
This truth is enabling me to overcome gradually the workings of the carnal mind. I have a growing sense of gratitude for Christian Science and all of its activities.
