God's Will

As , silently, the steadfast stars
Reign in the realm of night,
So, potently, God's will of good
Reigns through the thoughts of right.

Serenely, as ascending dawn
Demands its own sweet way,
God's will, transcending sense and self,
Reveals His holy sway.

As, tenderly, a mother guides
Her child's unfolding thought,
So, through the might of tenderness,
God's conscious will is wrought.
