Item of Interest

The growth of the administrative departments of The Mother Church during the last twenty years has been so marked, having resulted in the establishment of twenty-six departments and Trusteeships where formerly three or four were sufficient, that a series of items naming the present offices and describing their activities will appear in this column. The following begins the series:—

The Clerk of The Mother Church, an officer elected annually in accordance with the By-Law, Article I, Section 3, of the Church Manual, is head of his own department of office workers. If you wish to apply for membership in The Mother Church, you are privileged to communicate with him for information. Upon request he will send an application form together with a circular of instructions for filling it out. These application forms and circulars of instructions can also be secured from the clerk of your local branch church or at your Reading Room.

If you are already a member of The Mother Church, and through marriage or some other event need your membership record altered, you should notify the Clerk. Also, if you have at one time been a member and have withdrawn, and wish to reunite, you may write to the Clerk and he will send you the proper application form for readmission to The Mother Church.
