"'Glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's,' " Mrs. Eddy quotes in the Manual of The Mother Church, in regard to testimonies of healing (Art. VIII, Sect. 24). So I am adding my testimony to the many given by others.

One winter I became quite ill with influenza and an abscess in the ear. I tried to overcome the difficulty myself, until the abscess began to form; then fear and discouragement came in and I called a Christian Science practitioner for help. During the night, when the pain was severe, a member of the family said, "Sing, mother, sing." This gave me a shock, for I could hardly speak, much less sing. The only hymn I could think of was one from the Christian Science Hymnal:
