The Day's Tasks

In early morn my thoughts arise
To Thee, most holy One;
Oh, keep me through this busy day,
And let my tasks be done
As unto Thee.

At noontime may I not forget
To stop a while with Thee,
Amidst earth's noise to hear Thy voice
As tenderly to me
It speaks in love.

At nightfall let my homing thoughts
Rest safely in Thy fold,
So that no taint of error's claims
May mar the perfect mold
Of Truth's imprint.

Thus, day by day be Thou my guide
Through good, or seeming ill;
May all I do or think or say
Be molded to Thy will,
Thy will alone.
