After I had been under the care of physicians for many years, without permanent relief from many ills, a sister asked me to try Christian Science. I knew nothing at all about this religion of Love, until I heard her tell of some wonderful healings. I felt that they were true and that this Science was just what I wanted. I threw away all medicines and wrote to a practitioner, bought "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and began reading it. With the loving help of the practitioner I was healed of many ills, such as growths, severe liver complaint, constipation, and nervousness. Members of my family have been healed of influenza, diphtheria, mumps, and whooping cough. With these healings came the realization of what Christ Jesus meant when he said, "Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."

I am humbly grateful for membership in The Mother Church and in a Christian Science Society, and for all the periodicals, which I find to be of great assistance. Christian Science has brought a deep sense of peace to me, and I am daily trying to express my gratitude to God for all the blessings we have received. I am grateful for the help and joy Mrs. Eddy's writings have afforded me and mine. We have been enabled to help ourselves in the way Jesus taught.
