About the time of the birth of our little daughter the doctor, after several visits, pronounced the case a surgical one and then later stated that a Cæsarian operation would be necessary. He left my home to procure the assistance of another physician. In the meantime a Christian Science practitioner, who was with me at the time, and a trained Christian Science nurse were helping me, and before the arrival of the two doctors the baby was born. Every obstacle which presented itself was overcome through Christian Science.

When this child was seven or eight months old her hand was severely burned on an electric ironer. I immediately telephoned the practitioner and then drove quickly to her home. The baby's cries ceased when we reached the practitioner's home, and except when I uncovered the hand each day to cleanse and dress the wound, which seemed to frighten her, she did not cry again from pain in the hand, which she used constantly in creeping around and pulling herself up on her feet. The hand was scarred for some time, but later hardly a mark was visible.

I was healed of a severe case of intestinal influenza. Our supply has been most wonderfully demonstrated. How can words express my gratitude for these and many other demonstrations made in Christian Science and for the practitioners whose clear, loving thoughts have helped me along the way! I am grateful for membership in The Mother Church and in a branch church.
