Sixteen years ago I had my first treatment in Christian Science

Sixteen years ago I had my first treatment in Christian Science. I was suffering from a mental trouble, and was under the care of a Christian Science practitioner periodically for several months before I was healed. Prior to this time I was not a religious person, neither was I a churchgoer, although I had occasionally read from the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, and always experienced a mental uplifting from it.

About five years later I met with a serious accident, While walking along a winding road I was run down by a speeding automobile. Although no bones were broken, I was badly shaken up and my face was severely bruised. A Christian Science practitioner was employed, and on the following day I was able to sit up for short intervals. The internal pains quickly ceased, and within one week my face healed sufficiently so that I could return to my work. After a few days more the healing was complete.

Before I took up the study of Christian Science, I suffered repeatedly from bowel and kidney disorder and severe headaches. Although these difficulties did not immediately disappear, as I grew in the understanding of the Christ, Truth, the attacks became less severe and less frequent. I am particularly grateful for the healing of the fear of deafness.
