I have received so many blessings through the study of Christian Science and from reading the testimonies of others that I wish to express my great gratitude by telling others of some of the benefits I have received.

While visiting friends who were Christian Scientists, although I was not interested in this religion, I could not help noticing how happy and harmonious the home was. I had been brought up in an orthodox church and was quite content with my religion, but out of curiosity I commenced to read the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. The chapter on Prayer impressed me very much, especially the opening words, "The prayer that reforms the sinner and heals the sick is an absolute faith that all things are possible to God, — a spiritual understanding of Him, an unselfed love."

Shortly after this I went to a farm where all were strangers to me. I had thrown all medicines away, although doctors had told me that I should always have certain remedies at hand. Later, becoming very ill with acute neuralgia of the spine, I wrote to a Christian Science practitioner for help. I knew she would not get the letter for a week at least, as post went out only once a week; but I kept on reading from Science and Health, knowing that "with God all things are possible." In two weeks I was completely healed, whereas before, with the same trouble, I had been ill for months under the care of two doctors, and massage and electrical treatment.
