Christian Science was brought to my attention about sixteen years ago by a friend. Although I had undergone an operation for mastoidits, my head did not heal and the condition was such that the doctor attending held little hope of recovery. After one visit to a Christian Science practitioner I was able to eat heartily, and within two weeks I was restored and able to do difficult dancing.

With this healing came the desire to attend church and read the Lesson-Sermons, the results of which were evidenced in happier and more prosperous surroundings. However, there seemed to be more for me to learn, for after several years my diligence toward the things of God lapsed and it was then many trials came to me. Dissatisfaction, loss of money, unhappiness arose; and while I would occasionally go to church or to a practitioner, I did not faithfully follow in the footsteps of Truth, which deep in my heart I knew to be the only road to peace and health.

Loving members of my family never tired of pointing the way for me, and a few years later I awoke to the realization of what Life really is. Since then I have found that each day has brought new blessings as I have endeavored to put into practice the truths contained in the writings of our revered Leader, Mary Baker Eddy. I have experienced the healing of constipation, influenza, and concussion of the head, besides the overcoming of a violent temper. My husband was instantaneously healed of an attack of gallstones, and we have been able to overcome a sense of lack and debt through first knowing what we owed to God, our Father-Mother.
