I am so grateful for a copy of the Christian Science Sentinel, sent to me many years ago by some dear one. It lay about the house for many weeks, and was about to be destroyed when I caught sight of a piece of poetry. I read and reread it until I memorized it, saying to myself all the time that its message was too beautiful to be true. How happy I am for the understanding it later brought me of true beauty! I was reared in a home where the Bible was loved but not understood, and many discords came our way; but I am so grateful to say that they are now one by one being uncovered and destroyed.

Happily our entire family knows the beauty of Christian Science. Our youngest son was healed of the so-called effects of poison oak, in a bad form, by reading the chapter on Prayer in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. Our eldest daughter was healed of goiter after four doctors and a trained nurse had given her but a few hours to live. Since then she has successfully taught school six years, and is now a teacher in a Christian Science Sunday School.

We have three grandchildren who know no other remedy but God, Love. My husband was healed of the smoking habit. I have been healed of inflammation of the stomach and bowels when it seemed I should pass on; but thanks to practitioners and loved ones who knew of God's ever present help, the veil was lifted, and I now sing praises for all good. I wish to express gratitude for membership in The Mother Church and a branch church.
