The New Publishing House
Christian Scientists the world over are today concerned in the common task of bringing to prompt and harmonious completion the building of a new Publishing House in keeping with the growth and needs of our Cause and with the growth and needs of The Christian Science Publishing Society.
There are two aspects of this great project which are extremely gratifying and significant. First is the necessity for building the new Publishing House. What could be a more normal fruit of the progress of the Christian Science movement? What could be a more compelling sign of the power and presence of demonstrated divine Principle in our movement?
The second is the time at which we are called upon to do this. What could be more natural, what more urgent, than that the Christian Science movement should thus openly challenge the fear, the lethargy, the limitations of what so-called mortal mind wishes us to believe is an insuperable economic depression? What could be more welcome to Christian Scientists than this very opportunity to prove today, as it was proved in Jesus' time, and in Mrs. Eddy's time, that the success of any undertaking in the interests of divine Science is not subordinate to material conditions?
