I should like to express my gratitude for Christian Science. Although I had the privilege of having instruction in the Christian Science Sunday School, and in fact had scarcely known anything of material remedies, yet I took for granted the healings which I experienced, and did not really appreciate them.

Some wonderful physical healings recently came to me, however; and if it were not for Christian Science I should probably not be here to-day. I am most grateful for the spiritual understanding which I have gained through the study of the Bible and our textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy.

Heretofore, whenever any discordant condition arose, I immediately called upon the services of a practitioner and was healed; I had never had to do any work myself. This was not the case in my last healing. I had to study and spend a lot of time reading Mrs. Eddy's various works to correct my thoughts of selfishness, resentment, envy, revenge, and jealousy. When I was suffering a great deal of agony, I thought that if I could pass on I should be relieved; but this thought was lovingly corrected by the explanation that I must work out my own salvation, whether here or somewhere else, and that nothing could be gained by merely passing away. I have been healed of dysentery, swelling of the leg, hemorrhoids, and constipation, the last of many years' standing.
