The greatest blessing that has ever come into my life,...
The greatest blessing that has ever come into my life, and the one for which I am most thankful, is Christian Science. It has taught me faith, hope, charity, patience, courage, love, and has given me the peace that passes human understanding. It has been my only physician for fourteen years, and I have had many proofs that Christian Science is the truth to which Jesus referred when he said, "Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." Through its study, and with the loving help of a practitioner, I was healed of a complication of diseases from which I had suffered many years, after all material methods had failed. However, the physical healings have meant very little in comparison with the spiritual uplifting, the comfort Christian Science has been, the strength it has given me in meeting an experience of sorrow caused by the passing on of a loved one. I am particularly grateful to know that God is the only power and that evil has no power; and each testing experience has brought to me a greater realization of the nearness of God and of His love.
I am so grateful to our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, who has revealed the light of Truth to the whole world. I am also grateful for membership in The Mother Church and in a branch church, for class instruction; for having had the privilege of teaching in Sunday school; for our periodicals, and for all the authorized channels for the sending forth of the truth.
(Mrs.) Blanche Hyer, Kansas City, Missouri.
