I wish to express my heartfelt gratitude for all the blessings that have come to me and mine through Christian Science. About nine years ago, after being in the care of physicians for twenty-two months, I was led to take up the study of Christian Science, and with the help of a kind practitioner was completely healed of lung trouble in three weeks. Also constipation, from which I had suffered since childhood, was healed at this time. After studying the Bible and our textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, for about a year, I found that fear had been overcome to a large extent in my consciousness, and a sense of irritableness was destroyed also. If this were all that Christian Science had ever done for me I should be unceasingly grateful, but it has healed me many times since then.

One morning I awakened feeling quite ill, with all the symptoms of influenza, and I called a practitioner for help. The practitioner requested me to read these words that appear on page 14 of Science and Health: "Entirely separate from the belief and dream of material living, is the Life divine, revealing spiritual understanding and the consciousness of man's dominion over the whole earth. This understanding casts out error and heals the sick, and with it you can speak 'as one having authority.' " I tried to understand these words and read from the textbook for some time; and by four o'clock in the afternoon I was free. During this experience I did not remain in bed, but attended to the needs of my family and to my household duties. This healing occurred six years ago, and I have not had an attack of this kind since.

Our children have been healed of measles, diarrhea, whooping cough, and other so-called children's diseases. I am indeed grateful to the practitioners who have helped and encouraged me all the way; and I thank God, the Giver of all good, and Mrs. Eddy, who revealed this truth that makes us free.—(Mrs.) Lillian E.
