Each day I am waking to a greater sense of gratitude for having no God other than the one Christian Science has unfolded to us, the God of love. As I have known no religion other than Christian Science, nothing else has ever been applied to my problems.

I am reminded at this time of a healing of goiter which took place with me about four years ago. This condition was supposed to be one of heredity. As a small child I can remember people asking my mother if she knew the condition existed, and if she was trying to do anything for it. As I grew older I accepted a false sense of pride and became very sensitive about this condition and was always conscious of it. Science had been applied at different times, but the trouble never seemed to yield. I had always felt that this was the one demonstration I wanted most to make, but as I was applying Christian Science only in a small way and recognizing error in a large way, the condition did not yield.

About five years ago I had a complete breakdown, in which every part of the body seemed discordant, and during this continual suffering the condition of the throat was forgotten, so intent was I upon gaining a right sense of health and peace. The healing was slow, but I have been very grateful for this, since it brought me into church membership. After about a year's continual study I awoke one day to the fact that my throat was healed. It had been so entirely put out of my consciousness that I did not even think of it and ceased to look for it as had been my previous custom. As we are taught in Christian Science, when it was put out of consciousness through the action of Truth the healing came.
