I wish to express my gratitude for many blessings received through Christian Science, both by myself and by my family. Several years ago I was instantaneously healed of a severe case of varicose veins in both legs. At the same time I was also instantaneously healed of very bad backache and lacerations caused from childbirth. Physicians had said a serious operation was needed. These healings came through the help of a Christian Science practitioner on my first visit, when I knew nothing of this Science.

My children have been healed of mumps, measles, whooping cough, colds, and many other so-called children's diseases. My eldest son, while playing in the kitchen, ran into a pan of boiling water which was just being taken from the stove. The water ran over his entire back and hips. A practitioner was called and in about an hour the child had no further pain, although the blisters were as large as my hand. In about two weeks he had an entirely new skin on his back; and to-day he has not a scar, although there were one or two places on the hip where he had second degree burns. At one time, while playing with fireworks, my second son had his left eye burned. This happened on the night of July 3. Within an hour after a practitioner was asked for help, the boy went to sleep and had no further pain. The next morning the eye looked so bad that I tied a handkerchief over it to keep people from seeing it; but by night it looked nearly normal. On the morning of the fifth of July one could not detect the burn; the eye was healed.

We have had many other healings in Christian Science for which I am very grateful, and especially grateful for the very harmonious birth of my last two children, who were born while I was having Christian Science care. I am indeed grateful to God, the Giver of all good, and to Mrs. Eddy.
