Consolation

In God we find our refuge,
Security, and rest;
His help will never leave us,
He shelters the oppressed.

An angel walks before us,
And his enraptured face
Gives promise of good tidings
And God's unchanging grace.

This angel-light spreads round us
A splendor from above,
It gives us sweetest comfort,
Assures us of God's love.

All sorrows now are banished,
Released from fear we stand,
And sheltered by His presence
We feel our Father's hand.
