Reflection

In the midst of sickness,
Just to gain
Thy peace, and there remain!
Till Thy dear presence, known and loved,
Shall vanquish pain.

In the midst of discord,
Just to know
Thy law, and calmer grow
In power, until each wandering will
To Thine shall flow.

In the midst of hatred,
Just to see
Thy love, and loving be,
Until Thy touch is felt and hearts
Are turned to Thee.
