Need for Awakening

CHRISTIAN SCIENCE is reëchoing to this age the cry of the Apostle Paul, "Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light." Its message is reaching those buried in the sense-dream of matter, sin, sickness, and death. It is giving health, joy, and strength to all who hear and obey its call.

Mrs. Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of this divine Science of God, man, and the universe, says in the Preface to "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. vii), "The time for thinkers has come;" and a few lines farther on she continues, "The only guarantee of obedience is a right apprehension of Him whom to know aright is Life eternal."

Through the understanding of Christian Science mankind is awakening to the fact that Mind alone constitutes true Being. They are learning that mortal existence, in all its phases, is wholly a thought-experience, and that the mental images or concepts which they entertain are externalized as material objects or material environment. How important, then, is the message of Christian Science, which teaches that all true thoughts proceed from God, who is limitless Mind or infinite Spirit, and that these thoughts or ideas must, necessarily, partake of the nature of God, who is Love!
