Christian Scientists appreciate, and are in full accord with, much that you published under the caption, "The Great Physician," in a recent edition of your newspaper, but do not agree with the statement that "any man who thinks straight and long enough will know that the position of Christian Science is unsound and full of metaphysical and scientific holes." Therefore, kindly permit me to say through your columns that "Christian Science is the law of Truth, which heals the sick on the basis of the one Mind or God," as it is defined by Mary Baker Eddy, Discoverer and Founder, in her textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 482).

It is the very soundness of this law of Truth, and its scientific foundation, which enable those who understand it, as taught in Christian Science, to work the works of Christ Jesus, by casting out evil and healing the sick—thereby fulfilling the Scripture, "Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."

As evidence of its soundness and scientific basis there are to-day, less than sixty years since the publication of the first edition of Science and Health, unnumbered thousands who have been healed through the understanding and application of the law of Truth, as taught in Christian Science, and who are living witnesses to its healing and regenerating influence.
