I wish to thank God for the healings received through the teachings of Christian Science. I had been under the care of physicians for ten years, taking treatments and every kind of medicine, but grew worse instead of better; morphia did me no good, and I was finally told nothing could be done for me—that I would never be well. Christian Science was then recommended to me. I purchased a copy of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and began to read, but became very ill and was put to bed. When I awoke I asked for the book, and opened it to page 422 where I read these words: "If the reader of this book observes a great stir throughout his whole system, and certain moral and physical symptoms seem aggravated, these indications are favorable. Continue to read, and the book will become the physician, allaying the tremor which Truth often brings to error when destroying it." I arose from my bed, continued to gain in strength, and have never been compelled to go to bed since on account of weakness.

I decided to ask a practitioner for help, as to mortal sense I had many ills. I had formerly been told I had to suffer because Jesus suffered. Help was very kindly given and I was healed of heart disease, an organic trouble, a displacement, inflammation, lung trouble, sore throat, toothache, and periodical headaches. Many other healings have also taken place. Mrs. Eddy says (ibid., p. 125), "Neither organic inaction nor overaction is beyond God's control; and man will be found normal and natural to changed mortal thought, and therefore more harmonious in his manifestations than he was in the prior states which human belief created and sanctioned."

I am very grateful for all Christian Science has done for me; also to the practitioner for helping me out of darkness into the light of Truth.—(Mrs.) Florence Schatzschneider, Baltimore, Maryland.
