Christian Science came to me when I was in great need...
Christian Science came to me when I was in great need of help. A specialist had examined my ear and found that the eardrum had been shattered, and he told me that I should be unable to regain my hearing. As it was essential in my work to hear very accurately, I was at a loss to know what to do. Just then Christian Science was presented to me, and I shall never forget the peace and joy I experienced after my first treatment one Monday afternoon. By Thursday morning I was healed, and I am very grateful for the freedom I am enjoying.
It was at this time I began to realize that right thinking is indeed true activity. For this awakening, for the gradual growth through the study and application of Christian Science, and for the many blessings I have received, I am truly grateful. I am also grateful for the help it has been in my work as a teacher. A number of pupils have come to me laboring with the belief of being unable to progress in certain subjects. Words cannot express the joy and happiness I have experienced in seeing many of such false beliefs fall by the wayside, and in finding God's child free to think and work as he rightfully should.
I am truly grateful to our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, for being able to explain to this age this wonderful truth that sets us free, and enables us to express and enjoy our heritage—health, happiness, and an understanding of the Science of being.
