Safe Investment

Many of us have often wished that we had money to spare when we have had an opportunity to make what seemed to be a safe and fruitful investment. Yet every minute each one of us has the opportunity to make a wonderful investment and to experience an overflowing profit. In what form does this opportunity come?

On page 10 of her sermon entitled "Christian Healing," Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, writes, "If you wish to be happy, argue with yourself on the side of happiness;" and she adds, "Be careful not to talk on both sides, or to argue stronger for sorrow than for joy." When, through the study and application of Christian Science, one begins to see how his thinking influences his affairs, and to realize that since God is infinite Spirit man in His image is spiritual and complete, one is able to free himself from the suggestion that he is limited by so-called material circumstances.

True thoughts are indeed good investments, and each one who invests in happy, grateful thoughts of man's relationship to God, which he can do through studying the Bible in conjunction with "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, will gain the true and perhaps previously unsuspected consciousness of what he and his fellow men really are—yes, will find that true happiness lies within his reach.
