[Written for the Sentinel]

Oneness

Since I've known Thy love divine,
All mankind is kin of mine;
Every stranger on the street
My brother is, in oneness sweet.
Behind each anxious, sin-worn face
I see the promise of God's grace.
My lips are still as they pass by,
But soft to them my heart does cry,
Come, weary ones, come, lift ye up
And drink with me this wondrous cup
Of Truth, that flows so full, so free
For you, beloved, for you and me.
And even as they go their way
I know they all shall drink, some day;
In that eternal hour of good
They too shall see our brotherhood!
