In 1879 my mother went with friends to listen to a sermon delivered by Mary Baker Eddy. This sermon made my mother love Mrs. Eddy and convinced her that God is Love. In later years, when I began the study of Christian Science, she was a great help to me because of this sermon. She was instantaneously healed in one Christian Science treatment of inflammation of the bladder.

After I went to my husband's home to live, I became interested in Christian Science through the periodicals and the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, which he had in his library. After attending a Christian Science lecture I was healed of the need of wearing glasses. I am grateful to the dear friend who invited me to attend this lecture with her.

By Christian Science treatment alone I was healed of injuries from an accident. I was thrown to the pavement and became unconscious. The police ambulance was called and I was taken to my home. My right arm hung limp from the shoulder and I could not bend my right leg, nor stand on my feet for several days. In about sixty days I was normal.
